June 24th - Kelley's Kurves

CPFSC Presents Kelley's Kurves at Twin Ponds East on Tuesday, June 24th! This day-long clinic will be offered to CPFSC Members ($15) and Non-Members ($50). Private lessons will also be available ($80/hour). Registration information available soon! Download registration.

Kelley’s Kurves” is a seminar designed to focus on edge quality, body alignment, turn corrections, “Kurves” class, and various moves in the field skills and drills.

Kelley Morris-Adair, Past President of the Professional Skaters Association, has been coaching for 32 years and holds a Master rating in Moves in the Field, Dance, Free Dance, and a Registered Free Skating rating. She has earned a Level V Ranking for her coaching accomplishments. Kelley currently serves on the Board of Directors of U.S. Figure Skating.

Kelley and her husband, Donald Adair, created a dance program in Indianapolis, Indiana that developed over 33 dance teams qualifying for Sectional, National and International Championships. They coached United States National Dance Champions at the Junior, Novice and Juvenile levels. Kelley has enjoyed coaching single skaters at the Novice, Junior and Senior levels for Team USA.

Kelley has been a pioneer with the moves in the field structure. She was a member of the original task force 15 years ago and was asked by U.S. Figure skating Past President Ron Herschberger to create a team of coaches for the new moves in the field task force. Kelley feels strongly that the new moves in the field structure will help athletes develop the skills needed to advance in the sport. Kelley travels to rinks around the country to work with coaches and athletes on skating skills, turn execution, stroking, footwork, choreography and basic fundamentals of ice skating.
