U.S. Figure Skating and Learn to Skate USA are joining forces to expand the Axel Club, a free recognition program that celebrates skaters who land the Axel jump.

Learn to Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating members who land their Axel are encouraged to apply to the Axel Club. Inductees will receive an official Axel Club membership certificate, a recognition gift, listing on the Axel Club Hall of Fame page on Learn to Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating websites and the opportunity to be featured in Axel Club marketing materials.

Members who landed their Axel more than one year ago are encouraged to join the Axel Emeritus Club, a recognition program celebrating skaters who could successfully land the Axel jump at one point in time. To join, skaters must be either an active member of Learn to Skate USA or current full member of U.S. Figure Skating and name a witness who can verify that the skater could successfully execute an Axel.

Reflections Synchro Invitational 2021

To our skating community - in consultation with US Figure Skating, and due to the obvious COVID-19 situation, we sadly announce that the 2021 Reflections Synchro Invitational is officially cancelled. We plan to host again in 2022 and look forward to a safe season in 2022- be well, stay healthy!

As a new figure skating family, you’re preparing to embark on the journey of a lifetime. From the first steps on the ice to the Olympic podium, U.S. Figure Skating is there every step of the way. For many parents, it begins with the notion that they want their children to learn how to skate, but where to start?

And where does it go from group lessons? As kids develop their skills and want to use them in recreational and competitive activities, parents should know what opportunities are available
and what would be a good fit for their own kids.

These guides provide information on figure skating to assist parents as they support their children in their development and participation in this sport and will equip you with the tools to enjoy your child’s skating experience while making it fun and valuable for everyone involved.
