Special Events

The Central Pennsylvania Figure Skating Club has been carefully monitoring the coronavirus pandemic as we make decisions on how to handle our upcoming Spring skating show. Based upon Thursday's guidance from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and public health officials, CPFSC is announcing the cancellation (or postponement) of the March 22nd Spring Ice Show at Twin Ponds.

We understand this is disappointing news and we recognize the significant efforts and commitment from our athletes and coaches to prepare for the performances.

As a friendly reminder and for your own well being, here are recommended precautionary steps from the CDC to prevent the spread of germs, which include:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover a cough or sneeze – preferably with a disposable tissue.
  • Avoid touching your face – especially your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects.
  • Stay home if you have flu-like symptoms.

We will continue to monitor the situation, following the advice of public health officials in order to safeguard the health and safety of our members, their families and the community at large.

Please check the CPFSC  website and Facebook page to stay updated about club events. We also will use our email list to keep you apprised of developments as they unfold.

Thank you for your continued support of the figure skating club. We wish everyone good health and safety during this public health emergency.

Central Pennsylvania Figure Skating Club

This year our club is asking for donations of gift cards for Radiant Hope. Last year we collected items to be mailed to cancer patients and their care-givers. This year we are collecting gift cards to be distributed to patients and caregivers who are staying at the Good Hope Lodge in Hershey. Radiant Hope provides a meal each month to everyone at the lodge and they take a variety of items to the residents. The gift cards collected will be given as gifts at the dinner in April. The gift cards will be used by family members to get out for a little break, for groceries and for patients who are able to be able to have a meal out.

Sign up here to indicate your gift card(s) purchase:

If you or your skater would like to purchase or make a greeting card from CPFSC,  please stay tuned for instructions to submit these items Additionally, if you know someone who would benefit from receiving a care package from Radiant Hope, please provide the person's name and address to the show and we will send a box in April. Boxes can be for men, women or children and can be for patients and/or caregivers.

THANK YOU in advance for your generosity. While any cards would be appreciated we try to give multiple guests similar cards in case they want to go out together. Please indicate card value on the card so we can distribute amounts evenly.
